Privacy Statement

Who are we?
We are Aroundtown Management NL BV and we process your personal data. Of course we do our utmost to ask as little data as possible from you and to secure it as well as possible. This Privacy Statement has been drawn up to give you clarity about what data we collect, why we collect this data and what we do with it.

To whom does this statement apply?
This privacy statement applies to Aroundtown Management NL's survey of customer satisfaction. It is possible that there are links that refer to websites of third parties, on these websites the privacy statements of those parties apply.

What is personal data?
Personal data refers to data that can be traced directly (for example name) or indirectly (for example IP address) to you as a person. However, there are different gradations in the types of personal data, namely: Normal, Special, and Sensitive. An overview of the personal data that we collect from you and which category they fall under can be found below.

What personal data do we collect?
In order to be able to provide you with the survey, we use the following personal data from you. Below you will find an overview of all personal data that we collect.

Who has access to the data?
Your personal data can be viewed by other organizations within our group. Look for this under the heading To whom does this statement apply. If we are not part of a group, you will only see us here.

Share with third parties
We may share your data with third parties. We only do this if it is necessary to fulfill a contractual agreement with you, when we are legally obliged to do so, when it is in our legitimate interest (e.g. providing IT support to solve technical problems) or if you have given explicit permission for this, which you can always revoke. For more information about withdrawing your consent, please see the "Your choices" section below. In the event that we share your data with processors, we guarantee an adequate form of security by means of processor agreements.

Your choices
You can choose to opt-out of this survey by using the "Unsubscribe" link given in the bottom of the survey invitation email. Your personal data will be deleted within 3 business days.

If you have an account with us, you can determine how your data is used, for example you can choose not to use your email address for sending a newsletter. You can also do this by clicking on the unsubscribe link at the bottom of the newsletters. You can also withdraw your consent for optional data processing at any time (for example, by participating in a customer survey) by contacting our Privacy Officer via the “Contact Privacy Officer” button.

Your rights
Under the GDPR privacy law, you have a number of rights regarding your personal data.

You can exercise these rights by contacting our Privacy Officer.

  • The right of access: This means that you can ask us what personal data we have about you.
  • The right to data portability: This means that you can ask us to send you a copy of all your data. We deliver this within 30 days in a common format that is also readable for machines.
  • The right to be forgotten: You can ask us to delete all data we have about you, we will respond to this within four weeks. The process may take a little longer, but we will let you know. If the removal costs us an unreasonable amount of effort, we may ask you for a sum of money, which we will of course inform you about. The costs charged are administrative costs only. However, there are a few instances where we are not legally permitted to comply with the removal request, if this is the case you will hear from us with an explanation as to why we cannot.
  • The right to correction: If you think that the personal data we hold about you is incorrect, you can ask us to correct it.
  • The right to object: You have the right to object to our processing of your personal data if you suspect that the processing is unlawful or if you withdraw your consent.
  • The right to a human view: When an organization makes automated decisions about you, you have the right to object to this decision and have this decision reconsidered by a human. You can do this using the "Contact Privacy Officer" button.
  • Please note that exercising your rights may have consequences for the use of our services.

How is your data being used?
When signing up with us you have given us your name and email address. We are using this information to send you the link to the survey.

We are allowed to use this data for historical and/or statistical research purposes. If you do not want to participate you can exclude yourself from the survey using the method listed in the section Your choices.

The email will be sent using one of our data processors with whom we have a data processor agreement to ensure the safety and privacy of your data.

The survey itself is anonymous, meaning that AroundTown Management NL cannot see which persons gave which answers to questions. However AroundTown can analyse answers given for a particular city, address or building.
